Description
Szentesi Cherry is a classic Hungarian chili pepper that is widely used in Hungarian cuisine. It’s named is after the town of Szentes in southern Hungary, where it is traditionally cultivated and harvested.
The Szentesi cherry pepper is small and round, with a bright red colour when fully ripe and around 2-3 cm in diameter. It has a moderately spicy flavour that adds heat and depth to many dishes.
Relatively thick walls for a hot pepper make this a great variety for hot sauce, stuffing, or drying for spicy paprika. Also perfect for salads, salsas, and it is one of the best for pickling whole. Early to ripen and very productive!
