Description
The largest chili pepper in the world! This chili pepper can grow up to 35 cm in length. On average they grow to about 20 cm in length with a diameter of 5 cm. The well-growing plant itself remains relatively small compared to the large peppers. The plant grows between 60 cm and 90 cm tall. Heat levels of the peppers can differ per plant. The peppers turn from green to deep red as they ripen. Maturation takes approximately 80 days after repotting. This chili pepper is ideal for stuffing. The skin is usually removed by grilling the pepper. Numex Big Jim is a kitchen favorite for making chiles rellenos (stuffed and fried peppers).
